ATI X700 PCIe 256mb here, $200.00 US at BestBuy just about a year ago when I put my P4 rig together. Best Bang for the buck then. Just finished Q4 and the lowest frame rate I saw was 17fps with 40-60fps being the average through the game at high settings @ 1024x768. As always for the legendary game of Quake, Great Game! Well coded only one bug/freezeup, maybe sound drivers. Use's less cpu & runs cooler than FarCry, DOOM3 COD etc. IMO. Maps are a little slow to load even with SATA 10,000rpm drives, but no worries, just glad I'm not loading them with ATA100 7200 drives. ;-) Now I'll just have to wait 5 years till I can afford a computer that can run it @ 1600x1200 in ultra video mode w/160+fps. BTW three direct blasts with the shotgun takes out those flying skirt thingies.
