So, what are *you* going to hack together once the Quake source code is released? 1) The Quaker Air Force! Everyone who graduates to 'high mortal' or whatever in QUAKE is promoted to member of the Air Force. Players can purchase a one-shot radio signal for 10,000 GP and when they get in trouble, break it to alert the Air Force of their location. Then all available pilots leap onto their magic carpets, grab their magic rocket launchers and zoom to the rescue, performing a devestating air strike on the helpless hordes of orcs and goblins plauging the poor player! :) 2) If weather isn't implemented, how about hacking together some nice lightning clouds? Make them like monsters, but rather stupid; they slowly float around in the air from place to place and occasionally drop a yellow bolt of lightning below them. 3) You say you want a series of teleport stations taking you from place to place in your QUAKE world? Bah! How unoriginal! How about a full-fledged underground automatic subway system? You can even add a few extra tunnels where monsters hang around; gives adventurers brave and smart enough to figure out the schedule of those 100-ton subway trolleys an extra place or two to hunt. :) "See the tunnel yet, Dave?" "Damn it, it's dark in here.. no. Hey, there's a light coming around that corner.." (BEEP! BEEEEEEP!) "Oh shit." -Aphoriel/Kinsman Sean Givan
