Right - lets staighten this issue out. Rendition make the Verite chip. They are not making any BOARDs themselves. Creative Labs are releasing 2 versions of the 3D Blaster - one (out now) for the VLB based machines, and a PCI version available in March. The VLB version DOES NOT support rendition's chip in anyway - it uses the 3D Labs Glint (GIGI) chip as it's core. However, the PCI version of the 3D Blaster will have the Verite chip on it. This was officially announced on both Renditions and Creative Labs Web Pages. Bear in mind the comments made by Jay Wilbur concerning the Verite. Quake will run upto 30% better using the Rendition chip "It's own premier platform for Quake." Various other card makers are also going to use the Verite chip on their card, such as Number 9.
