Obviously neither of you have seen the Quake FAQ which is floating
around on this newsgroup. It's full of quotes and interviews from Jay
Wilbur and John Romero about Quake. Although they are never specific
about what's going to be in Quake, they have told us quite a bit more
than "it'll blow doom away". Some of the more obvious things are:

1) The main weapon is a hammer
2) No sprites in the game. All polygons
3) Client-server based for multiplayer
4) Some physics
5) You'll be able to trade items from player to player
6) You'll be able to enter and leave a multiplayer game in progress
7) True 6d movement

Get a clue.
