First off, I think that Quake will blow us all away, but some of the things people have been saying -- the technology hasn't even been invented for yet! But it's great to throw those ideas out, you never know. As far as Quake being RPG, I don't think so. Just read the interview in the D2 guide or Quaketalk. An as far as how the world should look -- I think that will be entirely customizable, maybe even graphically. People who run servers will have there own little "worlds" and they will govern the rules for those worlds. But probably much won't change from server to server. That's asking way to much. The only thing I'm having trouble with is the one weapon philosophy. I'd have to see it first to understand and believe it. Personally, I would love Quake to be post Apocalyptic. I think that guy who posted about that was dead on! The creature types are pretty much left wide open because no one has ever experienced an Apocalypse -- no one would know what it was like. Other time periods have been too typeset already by AD&D, Computer Games, and Sci-Fi. There are a ton of medieval fantasy novels, but not too many post-apocalypse novels. I think the field is wide open, and really popular now. Anyway, I'm just like everyone else here -- rearranging my hard drive and my wallet in anticipation. Would love to see some screen shots. My prediction is we get screen shots by mid-February to early-April. Demo out by Summer - game out early '96. I hope those are wrong though because I can't wait that long. cyboman s...@panix.com
