Saw and played Mk II for the first time finally in S. New Jersey after reading and following along the net word on the game since the beginning... And boy did I get my butt kicked... So here's my comments: Beautiful graphics but I really do miss the "real" people feel of the original... Also, you could make a fantasic film out of the first one w/ great plot but now? Oh, Well. Lui Kang was my choice each time since so little of his special moves have changed... But Now! He's slower and he can't nearly compete like before... No one can realistically say he's cheap... I often defeat MK 1 w/ two credits and Lui Kang AND most human players(Lui Kang v. Cage still problem!) and now that's gone. Well, watching all the others play game after game, I still think minor adjustments need to be made to better balance the game(Jax is amazing!) buy hey --- My Humble Opinion! More to pest you all w/ as I play more... N E M E S I S the "hitting the opponent in real life IS legal" MK I + II fan! mac...@clam.rutgers.edu

: So here's my comments: : Beautiful graphics but I really do miss the "real" people feel : of the original... Also, you could make a fantasic film out of the : first one w/ great plot but now? Oh, Well. I think MK ][ is great, but my problem with it is that the characters all move too fast. I mean, Midway went through all the trouble of digitizing real actors motions, but then they speed them up so much that it begins to look cartoonish again... For Street Fighter 2, ok you're controlling cartoon people, so when they make Turbo or Hyper figthing, fine, cartoon characters zoom all around, but now MK ][. It just takes away from the realism when you can drop to you knee, sweep the other player and stand up, all in a fraction of a second... : Lui Kang was my choice each time since so little of his : special moves have changed... But Now! He's slower and he can't : nearly compete like before... No one can realistically say he's : cheap... I often defeat MK 1 w/ two credits and Lui Kang AND most : human players(Lui Kang v. Cage still problem!) and now that's gone. : Well, watching all the others play game after game, I still think : minor adjustments need to be made to better balance the game(Jax is : amazing!) buy hey --- My Humble Opinion! You think Lui Kang is slower??? He seems just as fast to me... Perhaps it's just that the OTHER players all move as fast as he does now... Yeah, just SLIGHT adjustments, like the wonderous super slammer where you get tossed up and back repeatedly (Kung Lao) and loose half your energy... Overall, though, I *LOVE* MK][ - it just needs some improvements...
