Raiden strategies

I've been playing MK for only a month or two, and not very often,
so I'm still somewhat of a beginner. I like to use Raiden, and was wondering
if anyone could suggest general strategies or useful combos for using Raiden
against Sonya and Kano. I always have the most trouble with these two.
	Thanks for any help!

Well, Raiden is not an easy character to use against the computer, but
let's see....

First of all, NEVER TELEPORT. 'nuff said. also, be careful with
the Body Launch... The best time to use it is right after you've knocked
down the computer with a jump kick... or, if in the corner against many of
the opponents, you can body launch, and they will throw a projectile under
you.. repeat until the launch catches him...

Against Kano, with everyone, the best strategy is to back up all the way,
and wait until he speed balls... EVERYONE has a combo or two against him
when he balls... I'll post some of my fav's later, if there's any
interest...

stand up and block(don't take the punches). the ninja will back up. now
you can do one of the followings:

1. jump forward with a hop punch when he's still far away. if he jumps with
you, your hop punch will knock him down. if he doesn't, you'll jump
   over him.

2. hop punch him when he gets close. hop punch him to death(with him
   standing).

3. sweep him if you haven't used a sweep in the round yet. that's why I
always save my sweep unless it's NECESSARY to sweep. once you've swept
the computer, it will learn and will most likely block and retaliate
   in your subsequent sweeps.

Raiden is one of the best players to use against the computer (not bad
vs. humans either) A good jump kick is always usefull against the
computer (which is why its so easy with nijas, cage, or kano) but
since raidens is medeocre you have to use his jump punch :>

One very effective method vs. the computer (best for kano, kang, and
sonya) is to crouch and block. When the computer does the weeny kick
(crouching kick) do a hop punch. If it hits him on the ground (not as
much fun but good nonetheless...). If it hits him standing blocked
(oh well try again, and again, again... if you want). If you miss
altogether then you fly to the other side and redo from start.

HOWEVER.. if the computer tries to jump with you and you hit him, you
can do another hop-punch, and a dive before he hits the ground. Great
damage!!

BTW this does not work at ALL against the ninjas their straight up
jump kick has to high a priority. (real pain when you get into the
corner)

to those who may know... what is the best way to get out of the corner
against an angry sub-zero or scorpion when your raiden?

when i say angry i refer to when you win to many matches to well the
computer sometimes gets "mad" and won't make any mistakes, he just
advances, and attacks, blocks and retaliates (very annoying).

when a ninja gets you in the corner there is nothing you can do. as
far as i know. if you stand and take the punches he will back up but
if you try to jump out he will nail you with a jump-kick. crouching
in the corner is futile.
