For those of us that do not have access to the internals of the machines, nor
  know the owner/operator, how do we find out what version of MKII the machine
  is?  Is it like NBA Jam?

Well, I can guarantee, unless you're playign in chicago, that you're
playing a Rev. 1.0 or a 1.1... the easiest way to check is turn it off
and on, and wait...
