Is it just me, or are the guys at Midway REALLY LOUSY SPELLERS? I know it's an old issue, given the time that MK has been out, but really now... Sub-Zero's finishing screen: "...a large SOME of money..." for Shang Tsung's assassination. Liu Kang's finishing screen: Returning the tournament to its "... RIGHTFULL hosts..." In the Sega versions of the game: Raiden becomes RAYDEN. Here's the ultimate kicker, though: ALL of these spelling errors were carried over into the cartridge!!! I think there are a couple of others, but I can't remember them off-hand. My point is the quality control here; I find it a little hard to believe that Midway didn't have somebody do a spelling check before they finished the game. I know this is a minor point, but they're like a smudge on your newly washed and waxed car; they're really annoying... AJ

In article <1993Dec3...@evax12.eng.fsu.edu>, ajo...@evax12.eng.fsu.edu writes... > In the Sega versions of the game: Raiden becomes RAYDEN. Actually, Raiden became Rayden in EVERY home version of the game. I was assuming that they got into a copyright battle with Neo*Geo and Fatal Fury. The big fat guy in that game was called Raiden too ... and I believe their game came out first. Therefore, I assumed they had to change the name, but what with MK II now out and it still being Raiden with an I, apparently that wasn't the reason ...

In the Game Gear version, it say 'sum', not 'some'. Jason. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
