Hello to newsgroup alt.games.mk, I am Grandmaster Darnancient Falls. Some have heard of me, other have not. Over the past few years, some issues have come up concerning the reality perspective of Mortal Kombat. I have sent various warriors of our modern day Lin Kuei clan to research these things concerning the so called "Real Mortal Kombat". Such warriors as Joe Bryant, Franky Farras, Major Briggs (The Handler), linqueismoke, and last but not least, the legendary Marty Kombat. As concerning the results of our research, this is some of the conclusions we have made. 1) The actual Lin Kuei clan swore to exist forever. However, over time....the clan was disbanded to different parts of the earth, and the odds of their survival are very slim, being as how many of them where killed in a previous mortal kombat tournament. Although attempts have been made to relocate any survivors of the clan, all attempts have failed. 2) There is not enough evidence to support a "real" Mortal Kombat tournament. One reason why is because the tournament hasn't always taken place here on the earth. In some cases, the tournament has taken place in the realm "Outworld". In the story lines of Jax and Sonya in mortal kombat 3, they where trying to convince the U.S. government of an outworld invasion of earth. However, lacking evidence to support their claims, they had to take matters into their own hands. It is obvious to see that there is not enough evidence to convince the public of a "Real Mortal Kombat Tournament" Besides, even if the tournament was taking place in outworld, how would you get there? Our Handler, Major Briggs has investigated this issue. He claims that Jax and Sonya in the mortal kombat story lines tried to open a portal using science rather than using magic, and they ended up in the netherealm instead of outworld. So we have concluded that trying to attempt such things could be dangerous. 3) The Mortal Kombat game series was created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. Many of the characters of the video game series was inspired by actual mythological characters. Although some of my Lin Kuei warriors claim that these characters actually existed before the creation of the mortal kombat series, Midway games claims that all characters, logos, etc, are all copyrighted through midway. In other words, they are original creations, and they never existed before the time of the copyright. 4) During the creation of Mortal Kombat Special Forces, rumors have it that members of the original Black Dragon gang paid off John Tobias to leave midway, so that way the Special Forces game would not damage the representations of the dragons. The Dragons are a gang of highly skilled thieves, and didn't want to be known as failures. Regardless, their efforts was worthless however because the game still made them look like a group of failures who couldn't get the job done. 5) Although their are some indian tribes that claim to be able to use the power of the spirit animals which has inspired the mortal kombat term, "Animality", very few of those tribes actually exist to this day. A search has been made to find certain teachings that still might have been passed down by these tribes, but the results of our search have been a waist of time. So if there is such a thing as an animality, it has not yet been found. 6) We have made a discovery about the sorcery of one called Shang Tsung. While visiting a chat room on the internet full of some modern day sorcerers, we managed to ask if such sorcery or power that Shang Tsung possess actually existed or not. Their answers where interesting to say the least. We where told that such power perhaps could only be obtained by one who not only had control over spirits, but angels as well. In the Mortal Kombat story lines, it is said that even the spirits feared Shang Tsung. As far as the angel part goes, some say that Kano was a fallen angel. There is even a song about Kano on "Mortal Kombat The Album" that claims that Kano was indeed a fallen angel. Regardless, people still doubt that Shang Tsung actual exist. 7) There are certain mountains and rivers in asia named after certain mortal kombat clans to this day. The mountains of (Kuei-lin) for example. If you turn the name around, you get the mountains of Lin Kuei. Also, there is the Lin Kuei river. Isn't it strange that these names actually existed before the creation of the mortal kombat video game series? Not to mention the Shaolin Monks! Regardless, our efforts to prove that Mortal Kombat is real have failed. Sincerely, Darnancient Falls Mortal Kombat Continues....

At least it's a humorous, non-flaming idiot. I usually prefer those to the other thread I inadvertently started. Chris Midclasscasualty wrote: > you're an idiot. >
