mkII: what's all the whining about?

MKII just came out in my campus' games room; it's the current hit game there. Personally, I don't know why so many people are making such a fuss about its inadequacies (if you can call it that). Okay, so the computer throws you every time; why not just back off and start over with new combos (the computer keeps track of your fighting patterns to eventually defend against them. And you're up shit's creek when it does) Also, the game setting is too high (level 5 I think). Well, that's the arcade's way of sucking quarters out of you; what can you do about that? If they reduce the difficulty, everyone masters MKII, and the game will be old news (until it hits the Genesis market). I think those who whine about their inability to "master" the game are missing the point: becoming one at MKII (and every other game like it) is not an instantaneous process. You need patience, research (like testing out the moves in the 'My MKII Moves List' article) and lots of quarters of course! But playing VARTH is one exception to the rule! Just wanted to vent my frustrations out,...see ya.

You must become one with the joystick. You must BECOME the player, the
buttons are merely a mere thought. Then, and only then, will you vanquish
the game...
"Zen and the Art of MK2"
(you must also spend hundreds of quarters on the game)
