Scorpion's finishing move

Hi, I'm having a little problem executing Scorp's finishing move on the SNES
version of the game. I've tried holding R(block) and then pushing up X 2
on the control pad, and nothing ever happens. I have done it by accident
only once, and I can't remember what the hell I was doing when it happened.
Please help! I can't understand why I can do all the other finishing
moves but I just can't get Scorp's!

Thanks
Ron

YOU HAVE TO BE A COUPLE OF SCREEN INCHES AWAY (A MK PERSON DISTANCE)

You need to be about 6 inches away from him (assuming you are on a 19" screen)
Adjust distance as needed.

Also, the ups must be taps. Like up,up, real quick, if you hold any one of the
ups, it won't work.

BTW: You don't really need the block on, just tap quick enough so he won't
jump.

You have to be the right distance away from your opponent. I stand between 1
and 2 character widths when executing the fatality. By the way, you don't
need to use the Block for his fatality, just the double up!
