Ditto here in Australia. The best you can hope for is a replacement policy if the game is defective; no money back or anything. If you buy it and don't like it, tough tiddies. That's why I'm sort of in favor of a 24-hour temporary 'piracy'. Too many games these days don't show proper game screenshots on the covers, or the cover and the game review only talks about the 'cut-scenes' and the best bits of the game without talking about the bad bits [There was a recent discussion by Critical Bill about how some game reviewers hesitate to write bad reviews about games so as not to insult the game companies, who would possibly withdraw advertisements [which is a bis source of income]. How do I then know what a game is really like? Talk Voyeur for instance. No screenshots on the back, it was hard to find a good review of it (at the time, locally). So how would I know how good it is. A friend had it, so I borrowed it,... it was absolute crap. Even he was sorry he'd bought it. If I hadn't known the game was like beforehand, I could have been burnt badly. PS: I agree with the previous analagy: Few sensible people buy a car without taking it for a test drive, or buy a house without carefully looking it over. If you don't agree with that, then man have I got some prime Florida real estate for you ;-) -- Paul Gilbert | p...@yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au Bach App Sci, Bach Eng | The opinions expressed are my own, all my own, and Year 4, RMIT Melbourne | as such will contain no references to small furry Australia | creatures from Alpha Centauri.
