Well, first of all, it's sorta good to be back... here's
my problem, folx: My site which I normally read news from
[elof.iit.edu] has recently been upgraded, and rn hasn't
been updated yet... so I can't post from there...

I'm really bored tonight, so I'm posting using VAXNEWS
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh.

Well, I've just read through the 12 notes & I'll see
if I can answer any of the questions I saw...

First of all, Kano just sorta roars, in fact, whenever I
play it seems like he roars over the announcer saying
'wins'... maybe it's just me, tho...

Second of all, everything is blockable, everything is fair.
There is NO cheap in Mortal Kombat.. there are some strategies
which can be a little underhanded, but that's about it...
for example, playing Cage/Raiden and, after forcing your
opponent into the corner, wait until he does something to let
you uppercut him and infinite hop punch him... not exactly
cheap, unless you're playing against scrubs, but otherwize it's
so hard to goad them it's not a viable option... on the other
hand, I personally think that the Sub-Zero funky freeze thingy
is a bug, but that doesn't mean I'll let it happen to me ;^)

I'll believe the rumors about a full version of the Nintendo
version when I see it, and not before... Nintendo Power is almost
as much of a rag as EGM...

However, I will bet that it will be a much less bloody version
of MK than the arcade, even if "only" three moves were changed...
{prolly fatalities for Cage, Raiden and Sub-Zero, 'cause those
are the most 'gory', although maybe Kano's would be more
apropros...}

On to the lighter side of the news... at my local 7-11 at my
college, we FINALLY got an MK in there... Version 3.0, 2 to
start, 1 to continue on a fairly easy setting... I'm the BEST
in my entire school, judging from the competition so far...

I have won the game with everyone now {yaaaay!}, although only
once with Cage, Sonya, and Liu Kang... the annoying part is
when playing scrubs, so as not to chase them away, I don't know
who to pick anymore.... I used to pick Cage, but I've gotten
too good with him...

One of these days, I'm gonna post the big MK FAQ/moves list,
which was posted a little while ago...

One last thing, I have an auspicious announcement: I have seen,
with my own bare eyes, PROOF that Reptile exists on version 3.0
roms... I have fought Reptile on TWO separate machines with V3.0
chips in 'em... found the Version Number from the Sub-Zero
multiple double freezes crash, which is on, at least, V3&V4...

So... any questions?
