Wow, Mortal Kombat is out for the IBM real soon. I heard that the graphics were
BETTER than the SNES/genesis version. I also heard they were smooth
(scrolling). So this sounds awesome. Fatalities and everything is
there, no 'blood code'.

But, what kind of computer do I need for these graphics? Am I going to
need a 486/50 or something just to get a nice SNES/genesis type speed?
Is my 386/40 going to be only decent for speed but incapable of actually
being fast? I think an option to reduce detail and greatly enhance speed
would be awesome. I would like FAST Mortal Kombat, after playing it
for a while speed would be awesome...

Also, is Dec 15 the 'for-sure' release date?

And what is the company?
