boy, trash aint gonna like all this non-mk talk but since ]{ombat
asked...
according to nintendo of america, 64dd is not coming here in 1999 at all
and is extremely unlikely to ever come here. its still june 1999 for
japan. frankly, i dont care about it no more.
4mb ram upgrade comes out next week for n64 for $25. it is suposed to be
the highest quality RAM available (rambus sdram?) games like rogue
squadron, turok 2, nfl quarterback club 99, south park, vigilante 8,
starcraft, etc., will all run in console high resolution (640 x 480) so
no more shitty, blurry graphics, yeah! fog should be almost gone. sound,
frame rates, and textures will be improved greatly. if ya havent seen
rogue squadron's stunning pics head on over to www.ign64.com and look at
the "force friday" feature. if you are a star wars fan, you'll crap your
pants; 57 minutes of crisp speech, 43 minutes of music, and its all in
4-channel, dolby surround. my stereo is ready!
oh, and considering that south park 64 can have whatever appears on the
tv show (highly mature content) and turok 2 has some of the most
grotesque murders i have ever seen in a game (mmm...cerebral bore!), the
kiddie comments others have spouted can end. n64 was looking pretty
crappy but now its got a good year ahead. it should be quite good until
psx 2 arrives, whenever that will be.
of all the bad things about carts (price!), the one good thing is they
can be upgraded. rogue squadron looks like a high-end computer game, its
just that good.
and better make this post mk-related so lets see...oh yeah mortal kombat
conquest is a great tranquilizer; if you are having trouble falling
asleep just watch this show and you will be so bored that you'll be
entering the hallucinating, synaptic nocturne in no time.
