IN partial response to an earlier post, here is an excerpt from the Edmonton Journal (Canada): "Mortal Kombat II, a new and possibly bloodier version of the ultra- violent, hot selling Mortal Kombat video game, could hit arcades before Christmas with a home edition sure to follow. "'When you have a success this big, you build on it,' a spokeswoman for the game's manufacturer, Midway, told Entertainment Weekly magazine. Midway plans to install 25,000 Kombat II units in arcades worldwide. "The announcement comes on the heels of meteoric sales of rival Sega and Nintendo home versions of Kombat I. "With vivid depictions of decapitation, the bloodier Sega versions have prompted vigorous debate." (HEH) I presume, but have not seen, that there is an article on this in a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly. This blurb was printed today in the newspaper concerned, so it is fairly recent (apologies if it is old news). Latex.
