Well, OK. Ask and ye shall receive. Let's start off with:
CHEESY COMBOS WE HATE
We know it. We love it...well, maybe not all of us love it. Let's
talk about really cheesy aspects of our fave game.
1) THE FROZEN CHEESE ATTACK
This nasty little number turns up whenever you're fighting
another person and he/she/it is using Sub-Zero. Once in a while, you'll
run into someone who is either just starting out or has no talent to
speak of and has to resort to Ice Blasting you OVER and OVER and OVER
until he has successfully pounded the s--- out of you. This can be even
more humiliating if he knows and successfully uses the Fatality, thereby
condemning you to have your head and spine displayed by a no-talent
weenie.
2) HAVE A NICE TRIP (NOT!!!!)
I don't know about anyone else, but I've played one or two
people who like to get you down and keep you there with this really...
well, cheesy...maneuver. Over the summer, I played quite a bit of MK,
and was often forced to play against this annoying 10-year-old kid.
Well, his favorite tactic was to knock me down with a flying jump kick
and then keep taking me down with foot sweep after foot sweep, and there
was no way I could block (unless I messed something up, which is
possible), leaving me to stand there and sulk as I watched Sub-Zero
(which is who I normally use) get his head bashed off by Johhny Cage
(the character most often used by the little p--sant).
3) GETTING A LEG UP (or in this case, down)
Simply put, this is where somebody'll pick Sonya, set you up for
a leg throw, walk over to you while you're trying to get up, and proceed
to leg-throw you AGAIN; he/she would then keep doing that until you were
tenderized, after which she would often roast you to a cinder with her
Fatality.
Now, I have nothing against a strategy that works, but COME ON,
PEOPLE!!!!!! This kind of thing has to stop, and I strongly urge you to
seek out anyone who uses these or any other cheesy attacks to gain an
unfair advantage and whack them upside the head just as they're about to
hit an unsuspecting player with an Ice Blast for the 9th time.
