Dude, Liu-Kang's gotta be one of the best fighters in Mortal Kombat. Even against a veteran playing Johnny Cage, you still stand a good chance if you know how to play him. Against Kano's failed rolling attack, you can get a four-hit combo: First block the rolling ball, then walk a bit forward (since you are getting pushed back by blocking) and do two high punches, a fireball, and then a fly kick (all must be done in quick succession). That takes out almost 50% of his hit points. Reserve your uppercuts and only use it when people try to jump-kick you. As for Goro, this took me a while to figure out. On most other fighters, you can basically do the jump-kick, jump back and jump-kick again routine, but Liu-Kang's jump-kick has an agonizingly short reach, or maybe it's just he's a bit faster than everybody else. What I did was to jump back when you start the round to gain space (if he jumps, KICK while you jump back) and then do a forward jump-kick and hope for the best. If it hits, you can try the jump-kick, jump back combo, but occassionally throw a fireball or two when you jump back to throw Goro off guard, because if you keep up the jump- kick and jump back routine, he'll catch you and pound you off. When Goro's almost done, you can even use jump-punch and then a fly-kick combo. Beautiful. Eddie -- * "You fool!" "You bloated sack of protoplasm!" * * "You idiot!"
