Let's have some examples of the brain dead AI

I'd like to hear some of the absolutely ludicrious things your enemies have
done.
Here's one of the stupidest things to have happened to me.

The AI was trying to build a goods run to a city. It's railroad came to a
lake, so the wise move would be to build a bridge across yeah, well Mr. AI
decides to build a wooden bridge. Well, bad start and things get worse.
Mr. AI saw a hill on the other side so instead of lowering the land, he
turns round and builds another wooden bridge.
As he had still not completed his objectives, he decides to build another
wooden bridge back across, and finally finishes the run.
So his trains had to cross at 20mph, and broke down every couple of minutes.
It could take anything up to 5 minutes for it to get through the whole
route.
So three bridges!!! when at first it could have just lowered the hill after
the first bridge.

So come on everybody, let's hear some examples.

If I can find the game that this happened in, I might send the screenshot.

And yet he still manages to turn a profit on this I'll bet!!

With TTDLX, you get a screenshot feature. I presume you are using the
original version because of this.
If you played it in windows, you could either use a screenshot program, or
you could use printscreen, but you usually get a crap image with all the
colours wrong.

Sometimes I take pity on it, and actually help it to complete the track. For
various reasons I tolerate AI players, and it is better to have them with a neat
track, generating more money for the Bob Cousins Corporation!

The thing that ticks me off is the train routing. Every now and then a line
gridlocks, and I waste ages trying to troubleshoot it. One train just decides to
block up a station, cos it can't work out how to get to its proper destination.
That otherwise perfect ro-ro with mandatory servicing etc, becomes a smoking
mess!

To make life really easy, if you TTDLX you can simply click on the 'take
screenshot' button in the 'Question Mark Menu'.
