All my crew has agreed to join me. I know how to mark the X.  I have the
map. I have the grease.  But all the hints I get tell me to grease the
cannon balls backstage,   I don't see any cannon balls backstage only
other props like the swords, wig, spears, poison, hat are the balls
supposed to be in the Shakespeare theatre?  Is there a patch I don't
have?

They are in the chest with the Blood Island sticker on it, You might have to
try to walk on the stage first.

The cannonballs are in the chest with the Blood Island sticker on it. You
have to open the chest.
