There no one left in here. Reinder died of food poisoning in China,
and the rest got kidnapped by that Bruce guy from the Grim Fandango
newsgroup.

Are you trying to say that he drank baby milk with melamine?

I don't drink too much milk here, it's expensive. Chinese-style wodka
on the other hand, is a whole lot cheaper than milk.

How about THREE monkeys? It's been a long time ago that I saw a
website featuting three monkeys. Guess web developers are just too
lazy these days. All they ever use is some lame CMS with some lame
template. But monkeys, nobody wants to make website with monkeys
anymore.

We should start:

The Campaign for More Monkeys!

and find a great name for it: "AGLAMI"!

Also, where did the old website go? Is it at the pub down the corner
like so many others?

I was wondering the same. You know, if you search AGLAMI, Google takes you
to lucasarts or something. AGLAMI as some cheap keyword advertisement?

Yeah, let's blame Lucasarts. That's always worked well in the past...

Also there's this whole Halloween thing with zombies, werewolves and vampires

When I search for Aglami I either find things about Aglami, Togo, or
all these "forums" we apparently post to. I especially liked this
forum, which unfortunately I can't find anymore, where they gave us
all these nice avatars. Pixel was some green monster, I was a dog,
etc. You'd also have people replying to us over there, but then their
posts would only appear on that http forum and not on the usenet.
These posters, having no idea what usenet was anyway, were wondering
why we never answered their questions.

I love this. We must have seemed like right elitist arses to them. How much
worse would they have thought of us if we'd (well, Reinder, at least) respond to
them.

I remember they were having serious conversations about Monkey Island
and we would just post the Aglami Nosehair Thread or something. They
must have been very, very confused. There was also another forum were
most of us had "banned user" in the info field on the left (where the
avatar, nickname and such are on most http forums).

LOL. Of course you know we only became banned users *after* abuse was sent,
right? Nosehair abuse.

Did anyone wonder how all those banned users kept posting?

What an amazing feat it would be if it was filled with sarcastic

I've heard there are also vending machines where you can buy this

Whatever next? A plastic card with a bit of magnetic tape? Or a chip of silicon?
A remotely readable subdermal chip with your biometrics and bank account info?
The underworld is going to hell in a handbasket.

I've actually seen those machines. Philips has them. You can buy the plastic
card from a vending machine. It takes coins and paper money. The coins are
metal, oddly enough.

You're just jealous that I have an entire usenet in my head and you
have not. I'm still working about implementing imap-support.

A few times, but not hardly as often as the water supply (which
changes color as well, since very often I have brown of sometimes even
blue water). But the longest time without a heater was one day, which
is not that much of a problem. If you have a beard you can handle it.

What if you don't have any coins or paper money to take plastic cards,
and also don't have any plastic cards to take paper money or coins,
but only have, let's say, a whole lot of sheep? Is there a machine for
that? If not, I have to run to the patent office!

You probably have Gopher in your head aswell. Mind you, Firefox can still handle
Gopher.

Blue? Oh the humanity. Ehr, smurfmanity.

I've got a beard. So do Jan, Piet, Joris and Corneel.

So you've moved on to sheep after all that goat stuff? Mind you, the sheep could
be the next Q-fever victims.

If you don't have the plastic card to get the paper money or coins, you probably
don't have the plastic card that contains your fingerprint and name that you
need to get that plastic money card. The plastic money card is also needed to
pay for the fingerprint card. I should buy stocks in plastics.

I don't know any person called Corneel, so I cannot confirm that

I think I've known, or at least met, all of those and probably even a bearded
one of each. But that's what you get for going to school in Belgium. Even the
nuns need a shave there.

I think Gopher lacks the the tools for visual confirmation.

It can cross anything. It has crossed a lot of farmers already. And the whole

Chopping of a bunch of fingers would be an excellent plan B. Getting really old
or doing a lot of medial work seems to work also. Old people's wrinkles have
their own wrinkles and they even have that on their fingers. It's that or they
take a long bath before going to get the fingerprint card. People that work
their hands a lot actually shave off the fingerprint.

Not to mention Murphy's law about it. If it's anything Reinder can imagine, how

I've got vertigo. I tend to stay away from anything that's high. So no wonder
I've never seen a high sea, with or without farmers on it. Besides, high seas
tend to have an increased risk of schizophrenia and testicular cancer. Now who'd
want to deal with a sea like that?

I'd like our plans to be more ASCII compliant. So plan B won't end up being a

It's still insanity I think. Though, truth be told, I would like to
visit Belgium some day. I have never really been there. Well, been
through there, but not lingered about for long. It sort of seems like
a nice country.

Who is this Murphy and what do these laws (of which country?) have to
do with me? And if it is true though, well, let me tell you that a
while ago I discovered that I like to drink ketchup straight from the
bottle. Later on I imagined that peculiar habit can take over the
world. So maybe if you wait long enough, you'll see people drinking
ketchup straight from the bottle everywhere you go.

What real pirate has got vertigo anyway? I bet you eschew the highways
as well. And what about the digital highway??

It's just that your antiquated OS probably does not come with Chinese
fonts by default. For a long time I thought of telling people how they
can install them, but then again, to those who can't read the
characters they probably make as much sense as squares with numbers in
them. I'll give you a hint for the character though. It's picture of a
cat!

Most of the digital highway is located under ground. So that's not a problem
since I lack claustrophobia. I am too good a pirate to be concerned with the
crow's nest, sails or poop deck. I leave that to omnipotent experts.

Okay, that's different from the usual Gandalf with a goat. Is the cat in the
picture being tortured by any chance? Has the cat been bought whilst in a bag or
has it since been let out of that bag?

The Northern half is rather nice. Cities as well as nature. The Southern half as
some nice nature stuff. Cities tend to be less interesting.

If you're into history, there's plenty to be found. If you're into food or
alcohol, you can't really go wrong either.
