Somehow it reminds me of Borat. Right now however, the website cannot
be reached. But that might mean the People's Republic blocked it.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. Though it's not the reason the site is
down - just the shaven chimps at the hosting company trying to sort out
the DNS issues.

Let's keelhaul them as well then! When I try to trace aglami.net they
first take me to Japan, before ending up at the Aussie HQ at Rundle
Mall! Say, do they still have that Dutch Candy store there?

They fixed it, so I'll spare them the keelhaul this time.

Now for some sort of website to go there, since my backup is incomplete,
and we have on-topic topics to report...

I don't know... think you mentioned that once before. Was it one of the
arcades?

Hmmm... not sure why they stop at October 2007... There's definitely
been changes since then.

Having said that, the last database backup I have is from January 2007.
I also have most of the stuff from the Downloads area.

Thing is, the dodgy old CMS we used to run would probably take some
effort to get working again. Debating whether to just start fresh, and
add the old content back in when I get the chance.

So this web host is messing things up and they also don't have a

They don't have a backup because it was me who deleted the account in an

Who would be so crazy to post ones every thought, every action and even every

not caring.

But not as bad as those people that download some infested piece of e-mail

sent, not to mention the copious amounts of spam generated by that crapware
trying to convince me to use the same bloatware.

Well no, I remember it being right there. But it's gone. Perhaps it

Well, can't you use it to send private messages? In that case it would
be cheaper than sending SMS messages, if you can access the internets
with your phone that is.

All right, I asked them whether they have a player from Aglami.

Where is Aglami in Togo anyway? Here:

http://maps.google.com/?q=aglami&ie=UTF8&ll=6.172054,1.280546&spn=0.002731,0.003605&t=h&z=18

By the way, our Aglami from Spain also has a photo in northern Spain.
I guess that's where he lives then. He added some comments saying
something about the park he took the photo of. It can be found here:

http://www.panoramio.com/photo/3346148

At the bottom you can flag it as inappropriate or offensive. I did.
Please do the same.

> But he too has a blog:

That site seems to be inappropriate or offensive in China and as such,
it has been blocked by the government.

And how much do they charge per byte? I've heard about crazy prices of up to 10
euro per MB pre-paid. Paying 60 euro's per month for a plan (even unlimited) is
also out of the question.

Besides I hardly do anything per phone/sms. Most is e-mail.

More importantly: I don't know why *I* would use Twitter. Usenet is far superior.

Why would you want to leave it in the mug for too long in the first
place anyway? Grog is there for you to drink it! Now!

Yes! That's it! Hmm...makes me wonder why I thought it was a Dutch
Candy Store. I've only seen it once and that was from the outside, but
I clearly remember seeing Dutch candy inside. However, there's nothing
Dutch about the name or whatever. Must have had too much grog.

I can't tell you why... it's a spoiler for a game you haven't played yet.

I think it worked, since I cannot access the photo anymore now. In
fact, I cannot access all of panoramio.com anymore. Looks like the
Chinese authorities now consider it a dangerous website.

I sometimes do that. The problem with free open proxies is that they
get blocked as quickly as they sprout. And most of them do not allow
things like YouTube. Anyway, I'm too lazy to pay for a proxy server.

So, I had a look at his site but where is Aglami?? Nowhere to be seen.
I also still have to get a reply at the worldcupblog site :(

You're just gierig.

Well, I like to use my phone for when I can't find somebody. Almost
all of my conversations go like this: "Where the hell are you!??!1"

Yet you never use the IRC!

Or a bandwidth hog, bad usage of the people's bits.

I'd be libel to ask "WHY are you calling me? NOBODY calls me, they all e-mail.
It's not like I *want* to speak to you.".

There is enough bandwith here to feed all 1.3 billion souls! Most of
them use it only for weird Chinese sites that rank near the bottom in
web design, or to download movies and music which the government here
doesn't care much about.

I bet those are okay only if it's Chinese government approved entertainment.
They seem to be very strict about foreign productions being shown in the
cinemas. It seems unlikely that's a purely economical stance.
