So Mike [Vigilante] and I were surfing the new wave of Facebook 2.0,
and came across the following choice excerpt:

http://ccdevnet.org/~alex/levins.png

If only he knew. But I'm not going to be the one to tell him.

Alex Watson
<long .sig here>

PS. Hi guys!
Reinder, pan is the only acceptable UNIX news client in my experience,
and it's still not great. Unless you fancy slrn or something, you sick
freak.

Actually the levins is on my IM list, but I never talk to him. Actually
I hardly ever talk to Aglamians that way, since it is illegal.

I love slrn for being run from the terminal, but don't like that you
need an external editor for writing posts. There are more acceptable
graphical clients though. There's Thunderbird or Icedove, which are
too bloated for me, Sylpheed and Claws, which don't have separate
reply header settings for NNTP accounts, and also Knode if you're into
that wicked KDE shit.

I used to use Pan, but the latest beta versions drive me insane because
for some strange reason it wouldn't wrap lines longer than 72
characters. The old Pan does do that, but it's old and looks ugly. So
I decided to switch to XPN, which seems pretty much alright except
that it's ugly as well. If only there'd be a way that I could turn off
toolbars...oh well....pine

It's only illegal because you're pining to do that.

He's on mine too I think, but I am not sure if those accounts are
still alive...
I had several at one point.

Yeah...actually there are so many people on my contact list whom I never
talk to. But I admit, it's scary to talk to Aglamians outside of Aglami.

I've talked to Pixel, it wasn't scary. Hardest thing was to decide to go
for Dutch or English. I settled for Pixel-speak.

I just looked it up in my chat logs, and it seems that back in 2002 we
settled on Dutch, but nowadays it's mostly English. Last time I chatted
with the Pixel was during that football game when the Netherlands was
kicked out of this 2008 championship thing. Both of us were so happy!
