If you have Win95 and a Pentium you can sign up with TEN (The Entertainment Network) since they support Duke. Or you can check out Kali for playing over the internet. 28.8 modem or better and an ISP with a fairly quick net connection is almost a necessity though, especially if you want to play during prime hours. Check out http://www.axxis.com/kali for more details and downloadable kali software. =V= ****************************************************************************** * * An act of desperation... a theoretical explanation * * Va...@earthlink.net * had to be supplied at all cost, whatever the price. * * * - MAX PLANCK (on the discovery of the quantum) * ******************************************************************************

Don't bother.. I just got done testing Duke on TEN.. it's total crap. There is a 1/2 second delay between when you press fire and when it fires, the movement is terrible, and you have to turn off music, and turn sounds down to 4 voices. >Or you can check out Kali for playing over the internet. 28.8 modem or >better and an ISP with a fairly quick net connection is almost a >necessity though, especially if you want to play during prime hours. If you want good duke play.. only H2H has it. Check out www.head2head.com.

You Bet! I'm a beta-tester for TEN. (The Entertainment Network). The TEN software will be included on the CD with future releases of Duke. As of now, it's still very much in beta, so I doubt TEN software will be available with the first commercial release of Duke. With TEN, you can call either direct to one of their high-speed connects, if you have a local number available (there are many, already!) or you can use your existing ISP to connect. Their interface is nice, and the gaming is fairly reliable with Duke, as long as you chat with the other players first to find out who has the best connections. In a 4-player game, ONE lousey connection will crash all four games simultaneously. This is more a problem with DUKE, however -- it is a terrible hog of network resources. If you wanna take a look, pop by: WWW.TEN.COM Have a day. -=Berk
