hi all,

is there a way to get duke nukem 3d to play on xp professional.

after i install the game i run setup and select my sound card, i exit
setup and play the game and it plays ok but the sound really sounds bad.

if i try and run the game a second time i get a dos window that pops up
and in the upper left corner is says "inactive setup" and then sets
there and i have to close the dos box to get out of it.

is there a way to get duke 3d to play on xp. if so can someone share a
link on how to do so. if theres a port of duke 3d, id be willing to use
that.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

bob brozewicz.

Look back through the group, this subject has been asked many times before I
believe.

VDMSound allows the usage of sound cards for Dos games running under
Windows NT, 2000, or XP. It can be downloaded at:
http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vdmsound/

Build must be run under DosBox, or in a true Dos envrionment, or major
features will not properly function.
