Years ago when I was a diehard playing Duke3d online using Kali there were a
few classic well loved maps. The one I am thinking of had a well that you
jumped in swam down, accross, back up, out and emerged in a balcony or sky
box thing. You could also get there by an elevator. I think it also had a
trench down the center of the map.

Anyone know the name of it or where I can find it? What were some of the
other classic online maps? Also, are there any utilities that convert
Duke3d maps to UT or something?

Not to my knowledge. Also, I doubt that it would even be possible since
the Build engine uses a pseudo-3D map that occasssionally places sectors
ontop of other sectors - the same effect can't be reproduces in other
engines such as UT.

The only way to convert the map into full-3D format is to actually write a
custom engine that can have overlapped (i.e. warped) regions in space.

Sounds similar to a map I made called Concert.map or Concert Arena, that
had a well you swam down into and up into a building next door where you
could go up an elevator to street level, and next door was a large indoor
concert arena. It wouldn't be that one, would it? If it is, e-mail me
and I'll send it over. My e-mail is mariner-at-pipeline .dot. com.
