I got tired of waiting, went on to Unreal,, and that was a couple of years ago! Made a series of maps with the Unreal engine, using all Duke3D graphics, just to get a feel for Duke4ever. Unless you looked in a mirror and saw the Unreal character, you could almost pretend it was finally out! Steve

I downloaded them, played them and can recommend them. I did it 2 years or more ago. Cheers Steve. Failing that, Serious Sam gives you a "cartoony" if a little manic fix. But for violence, Soldier of fortune 1 & 2, Wolfenstien, or Unreal 2. Just my bit to keep this group alive. By the way, does anyone post to the Binaries group or Editing group anymore? Might take a look sometime... Cheers. Mark H. Last I looked, the editing group had 2 posts this month, and the binaries group was spam and Google groups didn't seem to carry it. -- Tom Breton at panix.com, username tehom. http://www.panix.com/~tehom

"George M. Reagan" > Hi Steve, > Are they available for d/l? > > G. *************** These maps only run in the original Unreal game, with patch 206. Its the same characters and enemies, weapons etc as Unreal, Just all the textures used are from Duke Nukem. I also made locked doors only open with the familiar color key cards in Duke. The biggest challenge was building 2 Cobra Attack AH-1 Helicopters that hovered by, allowing Duke to jump up on one of the skids and catch a free ride to the top of a bluff for some intense sniper action.
