Multi-player Game: How?

If you don't have access to a network and don't run WIN95 (for TEN Beta
test) is there any way you can play more than just two players?
1) A friend of mine has conference call on his phone so we can talk three
way. Is there anyway you can set up a modem game with this?
2) Is it possible to use serial cables and hook up three way (or 4)?
3) How difficult is it to set up a network? I think this option is out of
the question but we do live in the same building.

Thanks for any help.

Well, my friend and I found a place with cheap ethernet cards (2 for
$5), bought a few for the PCs lying around, got some cables and
jumpers, and with public domain IPX drivers, set up an IPX network for
under $20 or so (the most expensive part was the terminators - they
cost more'n the actual cards).

Or, if you have access to the internet at all, you can use a program
like Kali to fool your computer into thinking your SLIP/PPP connection
is an IPX network, and play some (albeit slow) multi-player games that
way.

Hello there, sorry for jumping in but what pd IPX drivers do you use
please. A friend of mine has had problems getting his IPX network
going so if you could point me in the right direction net wise I would
be very grateful. Thanks.
