All:

Grabbed this from 3DR's duke page. The previous info originally said
as early as Monday (22nd) evening. Note that this has been changed to
Wednesday morning. Ah.. 1.2 this week and registered in 3 weeks or so!
Life is good! ;)

-------------------------------------
Version 1.2 Update - Apr 23rd
Here is a Duke 3D v1.2 Release Update from Joe Siegler:

The next version of Duke Nukem 3D, v1.2, is due to be released THIS
WEEK. It will appear
sometime between Wednesday morning April 24th, and Friday April 26th.
When it's released,
you'll find out about it here first! Keep checking back here, we'll
have a new fast T3 FTP site for
you to get the file from when it's released.

The registered version (v1.2) has been sent to our duplicators! We
should start shipping
pre-orders of the registered CD-ROM in about 2 to 3 weeks. I will be
posting more registered
updates, including the actual day we start shipping once I have a
precise date. As the CD just went
off for duplication on Monday the 22nd, I don't have a precise date as
to when we will have stock
to start shipping pre-orders.

-------------------------------------

Everything else is pretty much the same.. point your web browser to:

http://www.3drealms.com/duke3d.html for more info.

It has new sounds....couple new sounds for duke dying and getting hit, oh ya and
another one when you pick up the shotgun, he will usually say "Hail to the king
baby." Not to mention if you play it over kali, everyone else will have v1.2.

"Go, therefore, make disciples of all the nations; baptise them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And know
that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time."

Also, you can kick without lowering your weapon. You can even kick and
shoot simultaneosly. Besides that.. so far I've noticed: RPG's leave a
smoke trail, mouse sensitivity can be greatly increased.

Possible changes (I'm unsure of these ones, maybe it's just me.
Hopefully others will verify these.): Some aliens seem to be placed
differently and might have have enhanced AI. The shotgun seems
slightly more powerful. Auto aiming is has been deminished slightly,
i.e. if you're using the pistol and shoot at a trashcan with your
crosshairs above it, you won't hit it whereas in 1.1 you would (must
actually AIM somewhat now..) :)

I haven't played the new version much yet.. more changes will be noted
as I find them.

BTW, the new shareware version is called version 1.3d (cute eh?) so
that it can't be confused with the bootleg version 1.2 that some TEN
beta tester leaked. See www.3drealms.com/duke3d.html for more info.

Hmm. Dunno about placements, but the AI code hasn't changed at all.
Shotgun...nope, it's the same. Dunno about auto-aiming.
