Can't patch Duke3D

I just installed Duke3D ver 1.30 (not the Shareware version) & I tried to
install the Plutonium pack, but got the error that I don't have enough
memory. (a well know bug) I went to 3D Realms looking for answers & saw that
I should patch Duke with PPack.Exe. When I ran the file it says that
PPack.Exe will only patch version 1.4, not 1.30. Again I go back to 3D
Realms looking for the 1.4 patch. No where could I find anything regarding a
patch from 1.3 to 1.4. They had one for the shareware game, but not the full
game. Can anyone shed some light on this dilemma?
