I once read that the Etheopians were also left behind by the calander
change due to their self imposed isolation from the rest of the world
after the collapse of their powerful civilization. I think nobody
actually told them. And as a result the they were, until fairly
recently, some 15 years behind the rest of the world in terms of their
official date keeping.
I don`t really know if this is true but this and other examples(see
above) just go to show how absurd it is to argue about something when
the `facts` are hardly `facts` at all and history is really just a
convienient estimate mostly laid down by religious rulers to suite their
own beliefs and to try and add some credibility to those beliefs.

Today is today. This is the only certainty, so i say make every day the
party to end all parties `cause you (or all of us) could drop dead
tomorrow. And think how dissapointed we would all be just because we
didn`t see the clock tick over into the new millenium.
