Need Help: Duke Nukem Manhattan Project

I'm stuck in the level Unholy Underground pt 3. The level has just begun and
Duke is between a railroad car and a 20 foot tall mutant. The mutant appears
to be a statue since it does not move. Duke cannot jump over the railroad
car or the mutant so he is stuck in the space between. None of the
walkthroughs address this so I'm wondering if it is a game bug.

Thanks for any help at all.
