It's been my experience that DOS is not very backward compatible and the
version of DOS on his computer may require a different DOS version. It
could be that the version of DOS on Win98 will not work with the version
that duke Nukem needs. Can you send me an Email with what the
config.sys looks like using Dos's memory manager. Win98 doesn't have a
version of memmaker and I can't figure out how to set up a memory
manager in MS Dos mode. I have a creative labs PCI128 and I can't
figure out the statements needed to load their Dos drivers so I don't
get any sound or music in Duke Nukem, yet. I HATE THOSE BLOODY IDIOTS
AT MICROSOFT!!!!!! THIS IS WAY TOO HARD TO FIGURE OUT!!!! Qemm is much
easier but it doesn't work under win98 and DOS mode isn't working right
either. I hope this will be much easier now that microsoft has lost
that trial to the JD. I can get some good quality tools working on
theis POJ computer of mine.
