I just downloaded and installed ZDOOM (v 2.4.1.2125). It works very well with several games, but, I cannot get the sound effects to work. the music is fine, but I miss the sound of gunfire and doors opening, etc. Can anyone point me to the file that needs to be adjusted. I have gone through several CFGs and the INI file, made changes to the sfxvolume, but to no avail. Thanks for taking time to help me out on this one. Or try an older version of zdoom. -- stirr your cofee properly

Thanks for the input. I found version 2.0.47.0 and got it set up. Now everything seems to be working. Of course, I lost all of my saved games, but that's no big deal. I get to play again, from the beginning. :-) Bill Waller New Eagle, PA, USA wsw1856@comcast.net

It doesn't work on Win95 but I hope your not using that. http://zdoom.org/files/zdoom-2.1.7.zip This is the latest version that uses regular Fmod that I could find. Here's GZdoom if you want OpenGL rendering. http://grafzahl.drdteam.org/gzdoom/archive/bin/gzdoom-bin-1-1-00.zip

Now I get the resolution of ZDOOM 2.4.1 and the sound is all there. :-) Thank you, Jim. Bill Waller New Eagle, PA, USA wsw1856@comcast.net
