I dare anyone, anyone(!), to do a demo of SEWV12R2, complete the whole
thing, preferably without cheat codes (except for the light code, so
we can see what the heck's going on.

Are you DOOMer enough to succeed!?

(Hell, I know I'm not; I've been working on that level for years and
can never get it done. :))

(BTW, SEWV12R2 is on the Master Level's CD; I'm not sure if it's
available for download anyway (but probably is.))

According to the Maximum Doom Reference[1] it is a Doom 2 conversion of
SEWV12R, found in /idgames in dmsewv.zip[2]

I downloaded the Doom version and managed to beat it on the first
attempt, although I admit I was quite lucky in a few places and used the
map cheat and/or a map editor to find the way when I got lost (wretched
mapless mazes...) So if you're having trouble with the Doom 2
conversion, I recommend you try the original.

I recorded a demo of the original version SEWV12R, as described
elsewhere, on UV skill with as near to 100% kills and secrets as
possible, in 26:33: http://rjy.org.uk/stuff/sewv12r-2633.zip

It is mildly cheated - I had the map cheat turned on. I also mistakenly
recorded it with the wrong compatibility level (Doom2 v1.9 rather than
Ultimate Doom v1.9). A command line similar to

$ prboom -iwad doomu -file sewv12r.wad -playdemo sevw12r-2633.lmp -complevel 2

should play it back.

I have recorded a better version, in 21:35.
