I seem to have hit a deadend.

I can see the red key but the walls around the square area it is in
are up. What do I have to do to lower it? Or similar? Do I have to
strafe run into the area?

I can also see the yellow key but the vertical bars are in the way,
how do I lower them?

I suspect I only need one of these keys as the other will become
available as soon as I have the first. Down to 38 kills left.
I think the red key is the key.

Thanks

As you surmised the red key is the next thing but actually getting hold
of it is like finding a well-hidden secret area.

Hint so as not to ruin it completely: in the room with lowering
teleporter squares, look for one that flickers.

Thank you. That was mighty tough.
I had noticed the flicker, been inside as it raised and noticed the
switch to lower it but not cottoned on to anything else...

A good level
