DOOM 3 HELP

Im currently playing DOOM 3 and I'm in hell There is a giant cracken I need to kill, there are these Bugs that fly through the air that light up and spot your position for the Cracken, the demon voice tells you that if you kill the spotters ( the giant bugs) then the cracken becomes vulnerable. My problem is this I kill the bugs and more spawn... How do I get rid of them once and for all to beat this level? thanks

Are the lights accessible from the front or do I need to get behind him to shoot it? The light will be above him. The 'searchlights' flying around are its eyes. Shoot them out and it's light changes color for a short time. Shoot at that light with heavy stuff. McG. What I do is kill all but one of the "seekers" and then line up so that I have a good shot at the demon (from the other end of the room). Fire the BFG into the air and switch to the rocket launcher. The BFG will kill the last of the seekers. When the demon is spawning new seekers a light will appear above him. Shoot into that light. It will turn red. At the easy level it takes about six or seven good solid shots with the rocket launcher to kill him. It also doesn't hurt to fire the BFG into the light, it works well too.
