Reinforcements or not???

Hi, I'm just up to the part where I am in the communications tower and I am
about to send the message out for reinforcements. Sorry about the vagueness
but I only play this game maybe 1 hour in 2 weeks so the names/details are a
bit sketchy. Anyway, the clean up dude from the start comes on the screen
and says not to send the message.

I saved the game, then sent the message and continued on. But then I
thought, well does it make any difference what you choose here later on in
the game???

Cheers Dre

Well, there will be a moment of dialog that's different, but the end result
is the same.

Meh, all a bit pointless then really!

Nevermind, I'm having a blast playing this game, allthough those bloody
skeleton things that shoot those semi homing missiles give me the shits!

Aim the plasma gun at their necks/heads. It will take out the missles as
they're fired while killing the monster.

Yeah thats what I've been trying to do, I wasn't sure if you could actually
take out those missles in mid air as the few that I did get looked like they
could have hit the wall or something first.

Nice, now I know for sure I'm gonna be less evasive and more aggresive with
em :)

Yeah, I went through that, too! What does it do, now I have to replay
with no reenforcements, etc. I had a save game right at that point and
all that happened was the guy says something like, "Wrong choice.
Override!" Only different, of course. The only part that was really
different in the game was back when you had to choose whether to start
the monorail thingy or not. Either you rode the train, or walked to the
next part. I saved there, too, and played it both ways.

I have successfully shot the missiles with the handgun (after running
out of everything else). It surprised the Hell out of me! I wonder if
you could hit a missile BEFORE it is fired and kill one of the things.

Doh! I walked cause I didn't know there was an alternate route! I'm at the
waste recycling plant atm a fair way in (I think).

Nevermind I think I have a save a little earlier on, I might fire that one
up and check it out.

Yeah I find the chaingun/plasma to be the most effective against them and
their bloody rockets!
