After doing the internet update to Doom3, things that should be transparent (like windows, certain transparent electrical effects, etc) are covered with a opaque green glow. I have an off-the-shelf Dell Dimension 8300 with a gig of memory and a Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card. Updating to the latest ATI Catalyst drivers did nothing, and I also tried the drivers from www.omegadrivers.net. Had no trouble before the update. For now I am going to uninstall and go back to the original version (if I can find my ^*$@*& CD-key). BTW, is there a way to get my CD key from my installed game?

everlast wasted my time on 7/15/2005 1:00 PM with the following: > After doing the internet update to Doom3, things that should be > transparent (like windows, certain transparent electrical effects, etc) > are covered with a opaque green glow. > Sounds like the bugs with non directx compliant cards. Just for shits and giggles, what version of directx is installed? > Had no trouble before the update. I saved my doomkey file onto my desktop and then uninstalled. The install program is asking for more than the 16 characters that were in that file. Someone please tell me I'm not out my registration key - the box has vanished during a move. There's no way I'm going to pay for the game twice.

How about saving a copy of doomkey and copying it to the new installation? Lukas Hosek
