OK, I've been playing through RoE again.  In the big circular reactor 
thing with the lifts that go up and down on the interior, after you shut 
it down, McNeil tells you to go shut down the life support, in order to 
continue on you're supposed to hit a button that's right there in front 
of you that says "extend bridge" and a bridge pops up along the wall.
The first time I played through I missed the bridge control, so I ended 
up carrying boxes around with the grabber, standing in precarious 
positions and trying to stack boxes half sideways on the slanted wall of 
that chamber, eventually jumping up and getting to the door, though it 
took me about an hour.  Second time through, I see, "extend bridge".

Sheesh.

You try getting there without the bridge.

Yup.  I got stuck on that too the first time.
