Am having a sever problem with the game freezing and ultimately shutting
down. I have tried all the upgrades, audio, video etc. but haven't found a
solution. I have submitted my problems to the support game sites and have
completed all of their suggestions but they haven't responded in a
satisfactory manner to the continuing problem.
I am running on a DELL 8200 dual Pentium4, 2.26 geg, 512mg RAM, NVIDIA
GeForce4 Ti 4600 Ver 1.5.3 128mg and a Turtle Beach THX surround sound
system. Seems my other games don't have this particular problem.
I could use some suggestions other than the standard game upgrade via the
web site. Thanks

The only thing I can think of is to maybe try the omegadrivers
(http://www.omegadrivers.net/) for Nvidia. They aren't quite as good as
the ATi omegas, but maybe they will help you out. You could also try
rolling back to previous Nvidia drivers, this has seemed to help some
problems that I've seen.

Try firing up DOOM3 with the LOWEST possible video & audio settings
and work your way up until the problem appears. Then go from there. It
could be a power or heat problem.

See if < http://ucguides.savagehelp.com/Doom3/FAQ_Instability.htm > offers
any solutions.

If you've got EAX (or surround or whatever it's called) in the audio
options enabled, try disabling it.
