Someone kindly responded to my query about my problems with my problematic
SB16. I looked at the settings I provided for the game and they were as
such: Base I/O: 220; IRQ: 5; DMA channel: 5; I didn't know what to put
for the number of digital channels so I went with the default, three.
If anyone knows what I am doing wrong with this, I would appreciate any help
you might provide because I have heard what a SB does with DOOM and I love
it. I just wish mine would work properly!
Thanks for your help.

Try setting the dma for the 8-bit setting (1 on my system) and 4 voices
works great (I couldn't play without it)

Brian - your settings seem fine; I have the SB16 and am enjoying full
sound... only thing that I can think of is, have you toggled on the sound
from within the main Doom game? Is the Volume on the music and the SFX
turned all the way up? Check Doom's OPTIONS screen.

Does the SB16 work with all other applications?
