I retrieved ftp versions of doom1_1a.zip and doom1_1b.zip, transferred them to floppies and brought them home. I copied them to my hard drive and tried to run pkunzip on them but received a message something like this: Unzipping doom1_1a.zip Error: Don't know what to do with <filename1> Error: Don't know what to do with <filename2> So, I assumed I had an out of date version of pkunzip. I then ftp'd something that looked like the latest pk version, called pkz361.exe. Instead of pkunzip, it had pkunpak.exe. When I tried this on my doom files it started extracting, but the file name it was trying to work on was qb^1/2%%@( or something else that was highly unlikely. It eventually failed with a CRC error. Anybody else seen this? Do I need a different version of the PK software? I'd like to play this weekend, so if anyone can lend a helping hand, I'd sure appreciate it. __ craig

The latest version of ZIP is 2.04G (hence the name). Good luck, and good hunting!
