Another DOOM newbie having problems with the game.

I can't seem to get my sound card to create any sounds when I run DOOM.
I have a SoundBlaster compatible, I've made sure the Ports, IRQ, & DMA
are all correct in the setup, and I get nothing from my speakers when
the demo comes on. (and yes, the volume is turned up) Am I doing anything
wrong here or what?

BTW, I checked the card on Wolfenstein 3-D and got that to work just fine.
ust can't get it to work on DOOM.

	The FAQ answers this question.
If you are using v1.0 of DOOM and a v1.0 or v1.5 SB, then this
is a known bug. Try getting v1.1 of DOOM. DOOM doesn't support IRQs
over 9.
