Does anyone out there own a Zoltrix Audio Plus II PC Sound Card ? This card claims 100% Sound Blaster compatibility and until now I have never had any problems. When playing DOOM I have music but no sound effects. This problem seems to be common amongst owners on non-SB boards but I have never read of any solutions for a Zoltrix card. I have a 386-25 w/ 4 megs and the card and DOOM are set at IRQ 7. Do I need some kind of driver to have some sound effects ? Suggestions much appreciated. Thanks ! umpi...@cc.umanitoba.ca

Same card on a 486dx40. The guys at id sent me the sound test software for Doom v1.2 (I have 1.1) and everything works. I'm just going to wait for 1.2 to be released. (That is, unless anyone has a fix for v1.1) -- James and/or Angela Kierstead (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada...eh!) "The opinions expressed herein are not my own...they are everyone else's"

I have tried disabling IRQs, setting jumpers and rebooting with no luck. Someone once mentioned that Doom doesn't like to see anything on IRQ2. Dos 'MSD' says that IRQ2 is 'Second 8259A' and IRQ9 is 'redirected IRQ2'. It also says that 'Cascaded IRQ2' is enabled. Anyone know what has a hold of IRQ2 and could that be my problem??? -- Colin McFadyen - Systems Support - col...@ccs.carleton.ca Carleton University Computing and Communications Services Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA K1S 5B6
