It seems to me that the 2 week window that DOOM 1.2 is supposed to released in is just about up. Does anyone know if 1.2 will be out in the next day or two? Has anyone been beta testing 1.2? The only two postings I've seen on this topic have been: a) Someone thought it was coming out this past Wednesday. b) Someone heard on Compuserve it was coming out on the 24th. Obviously choice a is wrong.

I spent a few LD dollars and talked with an ID customer service rep (after a loooong wait I might ad) who told me that the modem patch (1.2?) was expected to be out on the 30th. All who ordered the game will be getting it. -- "To desire immortality is to desire the perpetuation of a great mistake" -- Shopenhauer / Keith Loh l...@sfu.ca / Simon Fraser University grad-in-waiting / ask me for the poem of the week!

I received email from Id saying that they *hoped* to have 1.2 out by the
end of the month.

Don't forget, they *hoped* to have it out at the end of December too. I distinctly remember a "Hank" message the week before New Years saying that the release was imminent. Things must not be going too well at id. Apparently they can't get the bugs out. Either that or they're ignoring the MS-DOS version and working on the Jaguar version. Does anyone really know what's going on? Seems like we're not getting the real story.
