Hi there A friend of mine just bought a 486DLC, and we had trouble getting DOOM to run. It would usually get about 10 seconds into the demo before crashing. Any experiences/anecdotes/antidotes? Here's 2 things to try: 1) Get a CPU fan for the DLC. I know it sounds weird/impossible... but if you keep the DLC cool, DOOM works perfect on it! 2) Update to v1.1. (This fixed the problems I was having with DOOM on MY DLC/40. I would play for a while under v.99, but would lock up, A LOT! After I updated to v1.1...smooth sailing ever since!
