I'm not suggesting this will work or anything, but have you tried having all 
four players type in the same id* sequence at (close to) the same time?

  This will _definitely_ not work. What you can do, is patch the actual
executable (or even better, patch a copy of DOOM.EXE), to give you lots of
ammo. The patch is as follows:

  Change the byte sequence: 0A 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 14 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
                        to: 00 06 00 00 00 06 00 00 00 06 00 00 00 06 00 00

  This will give you max ammo when you pickup a weapon/ammo clip. The bytes
in question are four 32-bit integers specifying the ammo unit for the gun,
shotgun, plasma rifle, rocket launcher respectively. The patch changes these
to a ridiculously large number. All machines _must_ be running the _same_
patched version for the trick to work. I haven't yet gotten around to
changing the max ammo limits, so you'll have to contend with 200 bullets if
you can't get hold of a backpack.

	Sure, a funny thing happed to our doom game the other day. We were playing
registered net doom, and we saved the game. Then I modified my saved neet
doom game with dmch2.exe. Then we started the game agaain. I was god in
the game, and the other players, who modified there game were  just
normal. So I copied my saved game file to all the other machines, but my
player was still the only one with god abiaities, and all the weapons.
