I am running doom on a 486-33 dx, msdos 6.2, qemm 7.3 I have 8 megs ram, 1.2 gig scsi hard drive running on an adaptec 1542a, a sound blaster pro basic on irq7 ( the standard place for it ), and a bus mouse (irq2). Every time I run it with the sound effects on it crashes right after it hits the line initializing sound. The sound works fine on all other games including wolf3d. I need help.

Try the Doom V1.1 patch if you have Doom 1.0... you'll know you have the older version if if says V .99 (or something like that) when it initializes. And run it on a clean config.sys/autoexec.bat, too. -Tim
